Sonogram Pictures.

I had my follow up appointment today with the high-risk OB and "little Mr." looks just great! The small VSD (heart defect) looks like it is well on it's way to clearing up, so I don't have to be seen by a high-risk OB anymore-woohoo! The baby is growing fine & just in case you were wondering...there is still only ONE baby in there. Yes, my MIL told me AGAIN today just how BIG she think I am (rolling eyes). She let me know she still questions the validity of 4 different ultrasounds that say otherwise. This is going to be a looooooooooooooong 10 weeks if I have to continue hearing these kinds of comments.

On a much lighter note, here are some pictures from my last two ultrasounds. I don't have a scanner, so they are just pictures of pictures (so, not the best quality), but you get the idea :-).

29 Weeks

Face/arm in front of face

29 Weeks

side profile/hand in front of face/cord

29 Weeks

Face/hand on cheek/leg by the head

23 Weeks

Profile/hand by ear + umbilical cord

Isn't it just so cool what they can do now? This is the first pregnancy where I've had something like this done & I was totally shocked by everything they can see on those level II ultrasounds. We even saw him take a "drink" inside the womb. How cute is that!

WOW....That is totally amazing! Tiff thought it was too weird and could not look. But it is just so amazing to me... You could barely make out what things were when I had my sonograms some 20 years ago! Thanks for sharing !
Jodi

Tom-
No, no, no! I insist he looks like ME! I need ONE kid that takes after me. So far, everyone says all three of our kids look like Jonathan, so this one HAS to look like me. :-)

Jodi-
Tiffany is not alone! Several people from Jonathan's work didn't want to see the pictures either. It creeps some people out! I'll be the first to admit that it is kinda strange to see them...almost like you are cheating or something! Oh, and the majority of sonogram pictures these days are just like the ones you had 20 years ago. I have a few regular sonogram pictures from my 20 week scan & it's hard to make out what you are looking at. These pictures were from my level II/4D sono I had done at KU...a far cry from the standard "fuzzy skeleton" sonogram pictures I had done at my Dr's office at 20 weeks! I do have a feeling this will quickly become the "standard" in OB care very soon though.

Sometimes I don't get dressed for the day until 5:00...pm, and on the weekend I let my kids eat cookies for breakfast. I drank coffee (and sometimes diet coke) when I was pregnant. I use under eye concealer to cover up my zits & I bake when I'm stressed. If you can deal with all that....then welcome to our family blog!
