Prayers for baby Zion.

As most of you know I'm going to be a Auntie again in a couple of months & our family couldn't be more thrilled for my sister Tricia, and brother in-law Jeremy! Up to this point Tricia has had a wonderful pregnancy & is anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Zion. However, yesterday she received some troubling news concerning little Zion's development & she has asked me to rally prayer support for her and little "Z" right now.

A few nights ago a friend of Tricia & Jeremy did a 4D sonogram for them (just for fun), and she found something that looked a little suspicious during the scan. She asked Tricia is she would mind if she passed on the scan results to her OB & of course Tricia wanted her to do that. Yesterday Tricia was seen by several Drs & they all seemed a little confused by what they are seeing on the sonogram. It appears that baby Zion has a pocket of fluid on the right side of his chest (there is a name for this condition, but I forgot what it is called). The Perinatologist gave Tricia several "possibilities" for why Zion could have this fluid around his lungs and heart, but he really didn't have any solid answers for her either. At this point it's a "wait and see" type of situation. The plan for right now is for Tricia to have a weekly sonogram and NST (monitoring) to keep an eye on Zion's development over the next couple of weeks.

My sister is a very strong woman of faith & she is handling all of this new information in stride. She has not let all of the "possibilities" overwhelm her & she is taking the best approach right now...which is to wait & pray. I would ask that all who know Tricia & Jeremy please do the same. Tricia prayed for this little baby before he even came to be & one of her earnest prayers was that God would protect her children from sickness and grant them perfect health! Right now I know Tricia is standing on God's promises for her and her family. My family and I would love it if you could do the same with us! Please pray that little Zion will be able to greet us in perfect health, and that Tricia will find tremendous peace as she walks through these last exciting weeks of her pregnancy.

Thank you!

I'll be praying too! God is knitting little Zion together in the inmost parts according to his perfect will for this little guy. I'm so glad we can trust Him with our children and to know that He knows exactly what He is doing. This is not a surprise to God. I will pray for continued peace for Tricia and a good report!

Thank you Julie! I know Tricia will take great comfort when she checks my blog and sees that more and more people are joining her in prayer for little Z.

God is good, and we do trust that He has awesome plans for this little baby boy.

2 Corinthians 1:10-11, says:
"On HIM we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers."

Thanks, Karen. Your prayers are so precious to our family & I know Tricia really appreciates everyone who is lifting little Zion up in prayer right now.

Wow Amber!
I'm sorry to admit, I had not checked out your blog for over a month. Thus, I didn't know you had shared about Zi baby's troubles. I'm so glad you did.
It is very encouraging to know that so many people are aware of the situation and lifting him up in prayer.
Thanks sister. Tricia

Well, you should visit more often sis-LOL! Just kidding! I hope you were encouraged when you read my post + the replies. I know I lot more people read my blog than just those who post (Julie, Karen and Rhea are my faithful posters who let me know that someone cares about what I write-hehe!). Little Zibaby has a lot of prayers going up for him :-)

Sometimes I don't get dressed for the day until 5:00...pm, and on the weekend I let my kids eat cookies for breakfast. I drank coffee (and sometimes diet coke) when I was pregnant. I use under eye concealer to cover up my zits & I bake when I'm stressed. If you can deal with all that....then welcome to our family blog!
